OVERVIEW OF THE BOOK

This is not a typical Enneagram book. There are no profiles to memorize, no boxes to fit into, and no strategies for self-improvement.

Instead, The Enneagram Fairytales invites you into a different kind of knowing.

Each story begins in Essence—a natural state of wholeness, aliveness, and belonging. Then something happens: a moment too much, too soon, or not enough. In response, a protective pattern forms—what the Enneagram calls type.

But here, that pattern is not treated as a flaw. It is understood as a form of devotion—a way the heart learned to protect something precious.

And then, gently, the story continues.

Each tale opens a doorway into awakening—what becomes possible when presence returns and the pattern no longer has to carry the burden alone.

This is the Enneagram as story, as medicine, and as a path back to love.

What People Are Saying About The Book:

  • "Enneagram Fairytales beautifully restore what is so worth emphasizing in the teaching of the Enneagram—the recognition that ego structure is not our starting point, but our departure from essence and its subsequent protection. In the story of the Type 1, we are reminded that the relentless drive to right oneself and the world is not the origin, but the adaptation—formed through heartbreak and the loss of contact with one’s own inherent inner goodness. Through presence and the development of our consciousness, however, that relentless grip on our psyche begins to soften, and something essential returns. As presence grows and the “I must” relaxes, what was always there quietly emerges again, a newly attuned clarity that no longer needs to strive or correct, but simply accepts and reveals. This is the Enneagram at its most alive—returning us to the luminous gifts within and without that were never truly lost. Thank you for these fairytales!"

~ Suzanne Dion, Enneagram Teacher & Author

  • "What a delightful way to receive the wisdom of the Enneagram, in tender stories, words that have stayed with me about having a spell descend over me as I tried to protect my heart from pain, about forgetting the essence of my true self as I tried to become everything the world would applaud. Thank you for asking the question my Soul longed for: “Who am I when I stop shining for others?” And discovering how truth shines brighter than performance. Beautiful!"

~ Belinda Gore, PhD, Enneagram Teacher & Author

  • "These fairytales reveal the origins of our Enneagram patterns with rare clarity and compassion. As a Type 5, I felt deeply seen and gained a broader perspective on both myself and others."

    ~ Tina Marriott, Corporate Executive

  • "The Enneagram Fairytales helped me understand, appreciate, and own the gifts and challenges of my enneagram type. This book uses the fairytales to make the types more real and clear. I’d recommend reading this as an accompaniment to help one see the beauty in their enneagram type!"

    ~ Andi Goddard, Corporate Executive

  • "Enneagram fairy tales remind us of what our wholeness looks and feels like. We understand reintegration from our type in a whole body manner - not solely from a cognitive/intellectual place."

~ Mike Crowley, Executive Coach & Consultant

  • "I highly recommend this book! What stayed with me most was the realization that my instinct to chase endless possibilities can quietly pull me away from the deeper, more honest experience of simply being present."

~ Jami Debrango Palumbo, Corporate Executive

  • "The Enneagram fairytales approaches each type in a more wondrous, magical way , telling the story of each types evolution almost through a child’s eye, making even more a lasting impression on the reader - it was a joy to read and really resonated and stayed with me as a type 7!"

~ Christiane Langer, MD, Corporate Executive
